Ik heb een oude P2 thuis staan die niet meer wil booten.
Bij de checks krijg ik het volgende:
Primary master: IDE HARDDISK
Primary Slave: None
Secundary Master: Dvd-rom
Secundary Slave: Floppy
S.M.A.R.T. Capable but disabled
_ (error, staat er niet bij, maar het streepje blijft knipperen)
Hoor je iets van biepjes? Heb je een bootloader oid? Soms hebben die even tijd nodig is mijn ervaring. Hij kan kennelijk wel je harde schijf vinden, dus wellicht is het MBR corrupt. Met een LiveCD kan je wellicht wel opstarten en het MBR fixen.
Biepjes komen alleen voor als ik de Cmos batterij eruit haal. Verder bij het opstarten niet. Andere HD erin gestopt met alles erop (dus draaiende windows XP). Ook automatisch de HD laten vinden, gelukt (6034MB)
Er moet waarschijnlijk een check op die plaats uitgevoerd worden, weet iemand wat het lijstje is van de checks?
Once BIOS has found a bootable device, BIOS loads the bootsector to hexadecimal Sector:Offset address 0000:7C00 and transfers execution to the boot sector. In the case of a hard drive, this is referred to as the master boot record (MBR) and is often not operating system specific. The conventional MBR code checks the MBR's partition table for an active partition(the one with active flag set)[9]. If one is found, the MBR code loads that partition's boot sector and executes it. The boot sector is often operating system specific, however in most operating systems its main function is to load and execute the operating system kernel, which continues startup. If there is no active partition or the active partition's boot sector is invalid, the MBR may load a secondary boot loader and pass control to it and this secondary boot loader will select a partition (often via user input) and load its boot sector, which usually loads the corresponding operating system kernel.
Er is dus waarschijnlijk iets met je MBR. Windows heeft daarvoor het doscommando fixmbr. Je hebt misschien ergens een reparatiecd, waarmee je een check kan uitvoeren of repareren?
Edit:
Een reparatiecd kan ook gewoon de installatiecd van XP zijn natuurlijk, die erin mikken en boot order in je BIOS veranderen en dan de juiste keuze kiezen uit het menu (repair of console oid en dan 'fixmbr' (evt. waarschuwing negeren).
