We are glad to announce the PHPBenelux meeting for May 2011 in the Netherlands at the highly inspirational environment of our good friends at E-sites in Breda . The meeting will be held on Tuesday May 10 in Breda. During this meeting we have 2 great talks and of course some time to meet and greet fellow PHP developers. Talk 1: Deploying a PHP custom application - Sjoerd Maessen & Marco de Krijger
Once you made your custom application you always have to face the last challenge; deployment! While an initial deployment may still seem simple and easy your customer or employer continuously wants new features or improvements which also need to be deployed without taking your application down. Sjoerd and Marco will show you what you will be facing and possible ways to overcome these hurdles.
Talk 2: Database version control without pain - Harrie Verveer
Database version control is something that most developers have to deal with regularly, yet only a few have actually thought about what solution might be best for them. Most people have a solution that sort of silver bullet must be out there somewhere, right?
This talk will give you a bit more insight into the theory behind database version control, and gives you several suggestions on how you could deal with the problem. We will look at simple solutions and also take a look at some of the tools available to help.
