[server] fallback to scp?

In WinSCP zit een optie "Allow SCP fallback" wat inhoudt dat er wordt overgeschakeld op SCP indien de sftp server niet wordt gevonden.

Op de site van WinSCP staat hierover het volgende:

By default SFTP has option Allow SCP fallback enabled. With the option enabled, WinSCP tries to find SFTP server and when it fails, it initiates SCP protocol. Note that, when fallback is disabled, WinSCP tries harder using non-standard methods to find the SFTP server.

Is het uit veiligheidsoogpunt slimmer om deze optie in te schakelen of uit te schakelen?
